In school we had to bring along three stones and then paint them. The first step was mixing the colors from the three primary colors. That is much more difficult than you can imagine. After trying and managing to mix the exact same colors, we could move on by saying how cold or warm the color is, how dark it has to be, that it looks 3D and finally start with the painting. We had to use gouache and I tried it with the aquarelle-technique which worked perfectly for me.
My request to you is to do the same thing. Stones are so fascinating once you pay a little attention to them. And after you figured out what beautiful colors they have, your next task and step will be painting them! Go a head and send me your results :)
This Year it was from the 28.09 - 06.10.2019 and open from 12:00-18:00
Weltformat ist kind of an Organisation that does Exhibitions every year in this period of time. They always have a few rooms spread in Lucerne, with the different Exhibitions. This Year it was about Tools & Rules.
I totally recommend you to go see this places, because it's very inspirational and interesting. What I especially like about it, is that the rooms are not filled with stuff to confuse you, they have different things to look at with the perfect amount and space that they need. Which means that you don't feel over overwhelmed with all kinds of Representations.
The Normal price is 15.- and for students it's only 10.- ! Which is a very fair price ;)
Here you see that I am definitely not a fantastic and perfect painter. The proportions don't suit and match to the rest. But somehow I like it and felt like sharing it with you. I like to interpret it as a young, childish, lazy but reckless teddybear. One that doesn't like to walk and do sports, but loves to do some bs. He seems to be tired, because I didn't paint the eyes and the head is sledding down but the ears are upwards and very aware of the surroundings. What impression do you get from this imperfect bear?
Have you ever realized that there are always some kind of paintings in the hotel rooms? Some objects, fruits, humans, animals, etc...? Anything possible, as soon as it makes the room more interesting and colorful? But sometimes the paintings make it worse, because they can get pretty ugly :( ( Well that is my conclusion and thought ) But this time I saw this in my room, which was definitely a huge painting, like 1.5 meters on 1 meter. What I like about it, are the colors and the structure. But is there a story behind it and what do you see? Write a comment if you see something in this painting and what you think about it.
Okay.... so I am very sad to say that I didn't take this picture myself, but proud at the same time to say that this beautiful picture was taken by my dad. This was made with a drone in Bali this summer. What I love about it, is that you know that it is the beach, but have to look at it for a while, to figure out how the whole thing works. Where do the waves come from? Where is the sand? Oh wait it is black! OMG it is black?! And why are there so many greens and blues? Can someone please explain this picture? Well do you have any answers how to sea it?
Honestly, I never liked any bees or wasps. They make me freak out whenever they come near, because I don't want them to sting me. But did you know that a bee's sting can be more dangerous than a wasp's? Well back to art ... Even though I don't like this creatures that much, I love to paint them. The colors just match perfectly and I find that it has a vintage touch, don't you think?
An evening in Lucerne with an old analog camera doesn't sound fancy and romantic at all. But it's actually pretty interesting and challenging. I love the blurred effect and the reflection in the lake. Try to take pictures in the evening and tell me how it went!
Mhhhhhh.... Soft ice is soooo delicious and looks so good on pictures! This was taken in Switzerland on a big car event! I like the background, which just gives the picture a perfect character.
Who would have thought that even my garden could be interesting for a picture?! What I like in this picture is the cute, little, fat bee on the lavender and of course the purple colour in combination with a touch of green, grey and brown.
Rihanna! Who loves Rihanna's songs just like me? And who would not love this cute dress?! I tried to paint it with ink and concentrated on the shadows.
